Healthcare access is one of the main barriers to quality care. Cost, distance, and physical limitations often prevent patients from receiving the care that they need.

User problem

I want to be able to keep track of my health records and have a convenient way of getting appointments set up with my doctor without having to wait long hours and having to call in.

User goal

There has been a major roadblock between healthcare and technology, there is too much of a lag between the new technologies being created and being implemented in the healthcare system

Business problem

We want to increase users traffic within the app giving them the ability to attain all solutions of contact within the app and their healthcare provider.

Testing

My design solutions were validated by user testing and interviews. 5 usability tests were conducted where users were tasked with testing the visual design of the product along with the flow of the information architecture.

With the information gathered i was able to conclude the improvement of usability and users were able to successfully maneuver through the site and complete tasks.

Achievements

  • 80% of users gave positive feedback on the products convenience

  • 100% of users gave positive feedback on the features usability

  • Users loved how convenient and straight to the point the app was

  • Users were able to completely understand the design pattern aspects and how to use them

  • Users suggested the option to embed a feature into the live virtual chat that allows patients and doctors to look at any medical lab tests simultaneously while discussing results

  • Users suggested a feature screen that pops up after both virtual and in person appointments that gives an overview of everything talked about during the appointment with any suggestions and important points brought up by the doctor
